English to a target language

Overview

The File Translator application allows users to translate text files from one language to another using Google Translate. Users can select input files, specify an output folder, and enter the desired target language code for translation.

System Requirements

Installation

  1. Download the File Translator Installer:
    • Obtain the FileTranslator.exe file from the official download link.
  2. Run the Installer:
    • Double-click the FileTranslator.exe file to start the installation process.
  3. Follow the Installation Wizard:
    • Follow the prompts in the installation wizard to complete the installation.
  4. Run the Application:
    • After installation, locate the application in your Start Menu and click on File Translator to start the program.

How to Use

  1. Select Input Files:
    • Click the “Select Input Files” button.
    • A file dialog will open. Select the text files you want to translate. You can select multiple files at once.
  2. Select Output Folder:
    • Click the “Select Output Folder” button.
    • Choose the directory where you want to save the translated files.
  3. Enter Target Language Code:
    • In the input field labeled “Enter Target Language Code,” enter the language code for your desired translation (e.g., fr for French, es for Spanish). You can refer to the Google Translate Language Codes for valid codes.
  4. Translate:
    • Click the “Translate” button to start the translation process.
    • The application will read the input files, translate the text, and save the translated content to the specified output folder.
  5. Completion:
    • Once the translation is complete, a success message will appear.

Error Handling

  • If an invalid language code is entered, an error message will prompt you to enter a valid code.
  • If an error occurs during the translation process, an error message will inform you of the issue.
